Hills Alive Weekend

We headed to Rapid City on Friday to camp with friends and attend Hills Alive. We camped with the boys for the first time (Koby was 6mo old the last time we camped - so that doesn't really count).

We made smoores as soon as we got our tent set up.

Saturday morning we headed to Mt. Rushmore.

We were able to see my FAVORITE group!!!! downhere played Saturday afternoon and then led worship on Sunday morning. I LOVE their sound. They have two lead-vocalists, a tenor and a bass. Their harmonies are amazing. Their songs are full of wonderful messages!!! If you haven't had a chance to hear them, check out them out here: http://downhere.com/

After their concert, Brendon and I went to get their autographs. It was soooo cool to be able to meet them. I also got a bracelet from their booth. There was a card attached to the bracelet that said: "This piece of jewelry was created with guitar and/or bass strings used in performance by downhere. Clasps are sterling silver." On the back of the card it says ""April & May 2009 Nashville, TN, Wisconsin, IL, Aurora, IL" AWESOME

Sunday morning we made breakfast burritos -- YUMMY!!! Then we had our own praise/worship time together with the Monette's and Daly's. Each of the men gave a little message. It was a special time!!

Brendon turnd 7 on Sunday!!!! We surprised him with a cake we picked up a Walmart!

Cephas enjoyed the cake!! :)

A highlight of the weekend was getting to spend time with Sara!! I sure miss you!!!!!

Avalon: I like a lot of their songs! They didn't sing the one I wanted to hear though. They had to stop their concert due to a little storm that went throught the area. God is soooo goood.......it sprinkled on us, but two blocks to the south it downpoured.


Casting Crowns: They are awesome! Even though we left the concert a little early, every song they sang was a hit!! They are another one of our favorites!
