Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Life has been busy/crazy. The weather isn't helping things -- like calving!!
I have started going to WW meeting again. I'm at my prepregnancy weight, but this time things are totally different!! Maybe it's being three years older?!?!? Anyway, the weight isn't coming off very quickly. :( I have been busy with a college class that is due by the 15th of April (my goal is to have it in the mail by the 10th).
Jacob started running a fever a week ago Monday afternoon and it got to 105.2! I called the pediatrician and got a game plan. Well, Tuesday we were still in the blizzard and his fever was better so we didn’t take him to the dr. Around 4:00 Tuesday his fever spiked back up to 105 so Tony decided I should take him to the ER. He had to stay home and watch the cows because of the weather, so my mom went with me. I gave him Tylenol before we left and when we got to NP his temp was still 104.8. he has ear infection and his throat looked like strep. We came home last night and it took FOREVER to get his temp to come down, but he is doing much better now. It's amazing what a couple doses of antibiotic does! :)
Last Thursday our school was put in lock down because of three escaped fugitives were in the area. The boys ended up coming home on the bus and got here around 4:00. The fugitives were in Mullen all day! They got a room at the local motel and ate lunch at the cafe across the street. Around 5:00 they left town and our pastor (deputy sherrif) followed them on the chase to Alliance. It was excited news for a small town!!
That same day we received a letter in the mail that our pastor and his family would be moving! This devistated me!! You have to know they have been in Mullen 13 years and Mark just built a home with the plans on retiring here (but they are only in their 40's). On Sunday Pastor Mark read a statement to the church about why and where they would be going. He said usually if a pastor decides to leave a church it is on bad terms, but this was not the case. Mark and Cindy are missionaries associated with RHMA (Rural Home Missionary Alliance -- focusing on planting churches in rural areas). To make a long story short, Mark has been offered the position of Director of RHMA. He will be overseeing the missionay pastors of this organization. Tony said it well -- "What a God promotion!" This has been very hard for me. Our church lacks young christian couples and I have turned to Cindy for a friend, mentor and confidant. The only good thing about Mark's new position -- they will have to come back for visits.
Jacob is finally starting to walk around, although he still likes to crawl (faster). I got pictures taken at Walmart a couple weeks ago. They turned out really well!!
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Wow, your life has been pretty eventful! It's hard to see a pastor go, under any terms, and especially so if you've gotten close to them. I will pray that someone wonderful will come along to fill the gap. Good job on your weight loss! Are you taking your class to renew your certificate?? I will have to take 6 hrs. pretty soon to renew mine, since I'm not half-time :(
Yeah, I'm taking the first 3hrs to keep my certificate current. I have to have the 6hrs by May 2010. YUK
