Easter 2010

Tony's family came to our house for Easter. (Pete, Angel, Kory and Abbey, Amber and Joe). We decorated and hunted eggs.

Brendon Got Braces!!

His mouth is so tiny and his permanent teeth were starting to cause a crossbite, so he got braces at the age of 7 1/2!! Crazy I know!!

Christmas 2009

This year Christmas Eve and Day weren't the best for us. :( The weather was awful and we thought we were going to have to stay home. Well, Christmas Eve the weather calmed down so we were planning on going to Jennifer's house to eat the YUMMY lefse we made. That afternoon Koby started running a fever, so Tony, Koby and Jacob stayed home and Brendon and I went to Jen's. Christmas Day was a lazy day. All three boys were sick. Jacob was on medicine already, but the other two didn't feel well. On the 26th we decided to take the boys to NP to the Urgent Care Center. Koby and Brendon both had red/inflamed ears, so they got medicine too! :) Because of the weather and sick kids, we postponed the O'Brien get together until Monday (28th). It was a GREAT day. We all got together and we celebrated my parent's 40th wedding anniversary and Jacob's 2nd birthday. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!!

Lefse Making

We have a traditional Norwegian meal for Christmas called lefse. We take mashed potatoes and flour, form a ball and then roll them out flat like a tortillia and then brown them on a griddle. On Christmas Eve we put more mashed potatoes on top with either roast or fish and pour browned butter on it. They are yummy and VERY filling! The guys in the family have contests on how many they can eat.

My mom, her brother Chuck, his daughter Jennifer and I got together at Jennifer's house to make lefse last Saturday. Mom and Uncle Chuck had made lefse a time or two, but it was a first for Jennifer and me!! Grandma Beth made it out to give a little advice!! :) Chris, Laura and girls were able to make it a little later too. It was lots of fun and hope to make it a new tradition.

Thanksgiving 2009

On Thanksgiving Day we went to Mullen and at lunch at my cousin's house. Both my siblings and their families were able to make it along with my grandma and my parents.

Saturday after Thanksgiving we headed to Hayes Center and ate at Pete's house. Shannon, Angel, Amber and families were there. It was fun to get together!!!

State Volleyball

Tony was awesome and helped me figure out a way for Koby and me to go to State Volleyball!! We went to watch Mullen (Koby's teacher is the assistant) and Wallace. It was a fun special time to be together. We left Thursday morning and watched 3 1/2 games when we got to Lincoln. Mullen lost their game and Wallace won. My Aunt Gini lives in Lincoln, so we stayed with her. Friday we went to the Wallace game, which was a GREAT game, but they ended up losing. After the game we went to the capitol, then to the mall for a slice of pizza and A LOT of escalator riding and then out to supper. Saturday morning we ate breakfast with my other Uncle and Aunt who live in Lincoln, stopped by the mall to ride the escalator again :) and then headed home. I had a blast with Koby. He is one sweet kid!! :)
